Dartmouth & District Pipe Band is participating in Clean Nova Scotia’s Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Dartmouth Commons.
Throughout the summer months the band practices for competitions, parades and performances at the Dartmouth Commons, so to kick off the season they are volunteering to clean up the space for themselves and others to enjoy.
"We really wanted to get out into our community and do something a little different to kick off this year’s pipe band season," says event coordinator Heather Keddy.
"Choosing the Dartmouth Commons as our clean up location was obvious since we’ve been practicing there for the last few summers. We wanted to give something back to this beautiful community space."
They will be joining thousands of other Nova Scotians in making our province a little more beautiful this April, which is Earth Month.
The band welcomes players, friends, fans, and community members to join them in the clean up.
